It has been awhile since my last post, which isn’t necessarily a bad thing. I have been busy living life to the fullest. I have been further honing my photography skills as well as stepping up my commitment and dedication to my fitness goals. Often the two conflict: late night cityscape photography interferes with planned early morning workout sessions. But so far I am still managing to do both.

Flickr Explore
I was very excited to learn this morning that one of my images was added to Flickr’s Explore. At least I suspect that it was added based on the amount of activity on the image in the past 24 hours. (https://www.flickr.com/photos/53333599@N02/34068655963/)
I plan to spend the day with a 90 mm Macro lens mounted on my camera. I hope to capture some great images. However I am a bit concerned that there may be limitations on what I can shoot because I am not taking a flash unit with me. I will check back in and let you guys know how it works out.
Happy Shooting and have a great Memorial Day weekend!
Neutral Density Filters
I was recently shooting and looking to capture the NYC skyline at sunset or sunrise. After extensive research I purchased a neutral density filter. Actually I purchased two: one graduated neutral density filter and one variable. I found the graduated ND filter to render better results that were more in line with what I was looking for. I fell in love with it so much that I plan to keep it in my camera bag whenever I am shooting outdoors and need to a slower shutter speed.
